The  Scandinavian Association for the Study of Pain turns 50 years in 2026. On this occasion we celebrate by placing pain in context, addressing the historical, social, psychological, physical and biological environments of chronic pain, pain mechanisms and pain research.

The conference will be held at Solstrand Hotel & Spa in western Norway, with room and full board included. It is an intimate venue facilitating discussions and networking for two full days.

The refresher course, covering pain physiology, pain measurement, use of AI in writing, and training in public speaking, will be held in Bergen city at the Haukeland University Hospital Pain Clinic.
